I’ve been really enjoying my Govee lights around the house, especially the LED strips. They add such a nice touch to the ambiance, but I was having a bit of trouble with them during the night. You know, those moments when you wake up in the middle of the night and just need a soft glow to navigate without being blinded by bright lights.
At first, I found it frustrating because the lights would turn on at full brightness, which was definitely not what I wanted in the middle of the night. I ended up having to manually adjust the brightness every time, which was a bit of a hassle. But then I stumbled upon a really clever solution using Alexa!
By setting up a routine in Alexa, I can now control the brightness directly from my voice command. It’s amazing how much of a difference this makes. Now, when I say, ‘Alexa, turn on the night light,’ it gently illuminates the room without being too harsh. I even programmed it to gradually dim after a certain period, which is perfect for falling back asleep.
If you’re using Govee lights and haven’t explored the Alexa integration yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. It’s a small tweak that makes a big difference in daily convenience. Plus, it’s been a fun way to get more creative with how I use my smart home setup! ![]()
