After using Wyze cameras for over two years, I’ve truly appreciated their reliability and versatility. However, I’ve encountered a few issues that I’d like to share and discuss with the community.
First, battery life has been a concern. My Wyze cameras were paired with budget SD cards, which led to unexpected shutdowns. Switching to Sandisk cards resolved this issue entirely, ensuring consistent performance.
Another challenge was connectivity. During a recent power outage caused by a nearby accident, my Wyze Cam V3 stopped recording shortly before the incident. It appears that the camera doesn’t capture video during the last minute before power loss, which is something to consider for critical events.
On the positive side, I’ve found the Wyze app’s motion detection to be highly configurable. By adjusting sensitivity settings, I’ve minimized false alerts, making the system more reliable for daily use.
I’d love to hear others’ experiences with Wyze cameras, especially regarding battery management and connectivity during emergencies. Have you encountered similar issues, and how did you resolve them?
Thank you for sharing your insights!
