Hi everyone, I wanted to share a helpful tip I discovered while setting up my garden irrigation system. I use Tasmota switches to control four zones, and I was looking for a way to adjust the watering duration without constantly reprogramming each zone. After some research, I found that using variables in Homey was the perfect solution! Here’s how I set it up: 1. Create a Variable: I added a variable in Homey, let’s call it WateringDuration, and set its default value to 1 hour. 2. Assign the Variable: I linked this variable to each zone’s timer. Now, changing the variable’s value updates all zones simultaneously. 3. Adjust on the Fly: I even added a simple dial in my Homey app to tweak the duration whenever I need. This setup has been a game-changer. It saves me time and ensures consistency across all zones. Plus, it’s incredibly flexible for different watering needs throughout the season. If anyone has tips on further optimizing this or other smart irrigation setups, I’d love to hear them! ![]()
