Optimizing Morning Routines with Smart Lighting

I’ve recently been exploring ways to optimize my morning routine using smart lighting, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips that might help others.

One of the challenges I faced was getting my Wyze bulbs to revert to full brightness after being turned off. Initially, I found that the bulbs would come back on at the last brightness level they were set to, which was inconvenient. After some research, I discovered that adjusting the settings in the Wyze app allowed me to set a default brightness level for when the lights are turned on. This small tweak has made a big difference in my morning routine, as the lights now come on at the perfect brightness without any additional commands.

Another aspect I’ve been working on is integrating my smart lighting with my morning schedule. Using a combination of smart switches and routines, I’ve managed to create a seamless transition from waking up to starting my day. For instance, as soon as my alarm goes off, the lights in my bedroom gradually brighten to simulate sunrise, which helps me feel more awake and ready to start the day.

I’d love to hear from others who have successfully optimized their morning routines using smart lighting. What tips or tricks have you found most helpful? I’m always looking for new ideas to make my mornings even more efficient and enjoyable!
