Optimizing MQTT Brightness Control for Smoother Adjustments

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into optimizing my MQTT-connected lighting setup and wanted to share my journey in case it helps others. I’ve noticed that adjusting brightness via the slider feels a bit too coarse, especially since my lights accept a 0-100% range but Home Assistant uses 0-255. This mismatch makes fine-tuning a bit tricky.

After some research, I discovered that there might be a way to adjust the slider range within the configuration. It’s not a built-in feature yet, but I remember seeing some discussions on GitHub about this. If anyone has insights or workarounds, I’d love to hear them!

On a lighter note, I stumbled upon a fantastic community-developed integration called UniLED, which supports a wide range of LED controllers. It’s been a game-changer for me, and I’m excited to see the upcoming beta release with even more features. The developer’s transparency and willingness to improve the component are truly commendable.

I’d love to hear if others have found creative solutions for optimizing their MQTT setups or if they’ve explored other integrations that have made a significant difference in their smart homes. Let’s keep the ideas flowing! :rocket:
