Optimizing Outdoor Lighting with Govee H6172

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience setting up the Govee H6172 outdoor LED strip for holiday lighting. After some research and trial, I decided to go with this 10m RGBIC strip due to its flexibility and built-in customization options. However, I faced a challenge with mounting it on my soffit since there was no lip to direct the light towards the house.

I explored several solutions, including using L-shaped metal brackets, diffusers, and even considering switching to Govee’s Neon LED ropes. Each option had its pros and cons, but I wanted something that would look great without compromising brightness.

After some brainstorming, I settled on creating custom brackets that mount flush with the soffit, directing the light downward. This not only solved the mounting issue but also enhanced the aesthetic appeal. I’d love to hear how others have tackled similar challenges or if there are innovative mounting solutions I might have missed. Happy holidays and happy lighting! :fireworks::sparkles:
