Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with RGB lighting accuracy and integrating my smart home devices. I’ve been using Govee RGB lights for a while now, and they’ve been fantastic—bright, vibrant, and reliable. However, I noticed that certain colors, like oranges, weren’t rendering as expected and appeared more washed out. This got me thinking about how to improve the color accuracy on my RGB strips. After some research, I stumbled upon the idea of adjusting the gamma correction settings and experimenting with different color modes. I found that tweaking these settings made a significant difference in how colors like orange were displayed. It’s been a fun project to fine-tune my setup for the best visual experience. On another note, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my smart home devices more seamlessly. I recently added a Xiaomi XiaoFeng camera and was curious about the best way to configure it within my Home Assistant setup. I tried a few different approaches, including using the Xiaomi camera platform and ffmpeg, and found that setting it up with a picture-entity card worked perfectly for my needs. I’d love to hear from others who have successfully integrated multiple brands or have tips for optimizing RGB lighting accuracy. It’s always inspiring to learn from the community and see how everyone enhances their smart home experiences. Happy tinkering! ![]()
