Optimizing Sleep Tracking with Galaxy Watch 4

I recently came across the new sleep detection feature on the Galaxy Watch 4 and I’m absolutely thrilled! Sleep tracking has always been a bit hit or miss with my previous devices, but the accuracy of the GW4 is impressive. I’ve been using it to monitor my sleep patterns and it’s been a game-changer for me in terms of understanding my sleep quality.

One thing I’m curious about is how to integrate this data with my existing smart home setup. I’ve heard that SmartThings can work with Home Assistant, but I’m not entirely sure how to set that up. Does anyone have experience with triggering automations based on sleep detection? For example, turning off the lights or adjusting the thermostat when I fall asleep.

I’ve also noticed that the sleep sensor isn’t directly exposed through the Wear OS companion app, which is a bit of a letdown. I’d love to see more integration options in the future. In the meantime, I’m experimenting with different settings to see how I can make the most of this feature.

If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing sleep tracking or integrating it with other smart devices, I’d love to hear about them! Let’s share our experiences and see how we can make the most of this awesome feature.
