Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with optimizing smart camera notifications using AI. I recently upgraded my system to include V3 Pro cameras, and while they offer great features, I was initially overwhelmed by the constant notifications. Everything from motion to vehicles was triggering alerts, making it hard to focus on what truly mattered—detecting people on camera. After some research and experimentation, I found a solution that significantly improved my setup. I started by diving into the camera settings and carefully adjusting the AI parameters. By unselecting everything except the smart AI for person detection, I was able to filter out most of the unnecessary alerts. This process required a bit of trial and error, but the results were worth it.I also discovered that assigning specific cameras to different zones helped streamline notifications. For instance, setting up separate zones for the front yard and backyard allowed me to tailor alerts to each area. This zoning feature, combined with the refined AI settings, drastically reduced false positives and ensured that I only received notifications when someone was detected. One thing I learned is the importance of testing different configurations. I spent a few days tweaking the settings and observing the results. It was a bit time-consuming, but it paid off in the end. Now, my system is much more efficient, and I feel more confident in its ability to notify me only when necessary. If anyone else is struggling with overactive notifications, I highly recommend exploring your camera’s AI settings and experimenting with zone assignments. It might take some time, but the peace of mind it brings is well worth the effort. Happy automating everyone!
