Optimizing Smart Fan Automation for Temperature Control

Summer is here, and with it comes the challenge of keeping our homes cool without breaking the bank. I recently discovered how to automate my ceiling fan to adjust its speed based on the room temperature, and it’s been a game-changer! :sun_with_face:

I’ve been using the Dcoffing 3-Speed Ceiling Fan Thermostat app on SmartThings for a while now, and it’s been a lifesaver. The app allows my fan to automatically switch between low, medium, and high speeds depending on how hot it gets in my bedroom. It’s not just about convenience—it’s about creating a more comfortable living space without constant manual adjustments.

However, when I tried to migrate this setup to a different platform, I ran into some issues. The automation wouldn’t save, and I kept getting error messages. After some research, I found that the problem was related to duplicate AIDs in my setup. It was a bit frustrating, but with some tweaking and help from the community, I got it working again!

I’d love to hear from others who have tackled similar challenges. How do you optimize your fan automation? Do you have any tips for ensuring smooth integration across different platforms? Let’s share our experiences and tricks to make our smart homes even smarter! :bulb:
