Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with optimizing my smart home setup, particularly focusing on device naming and dashboard management. After setting up several devices, I noticed that the default names were often technical and hard to remember, like ‘smart_switch_EnergyMeter’. I decided to rename them to something more intuitive, such as ‘Living Room Light’ or ‘Kitchen Fan’. This change made it much easier for my family to navigate the system without confusion.
Another challenge I faced was managing access to my smart home dashboards. With multiple family members using the system, I wanted to ensure that each person could only view the dashboards relevant to them. I discovered that this was possible through the settings, allowing me to assign specific dashboards to each device. This feature has been incredibly helpful in keeping things organized and user-friendly.
