I’ve recently been diving into the world of smart lighting, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey! 
I started with Govee lights, and their integration with OpenHAB has been nothing short of seamless. The ability to control everything from my phone or through voice commands has completely transformed how I interact with my home.
One of the standout features for me has been the automation capabilities. I’ve set up my lights to dim automatically when I’m watching TV or to brighten when motion is detected. It’s these little touches that make smart lighting feel like a natural extension of my home.
However, I’ve encountered a minor hiccup with the timer feature on some of my Govee lights. They don’t always turn off as scheduled, which I hope will be fixed soon. 
Until then, I’ve been manually adjusting the schedules, which isn’t too much of a hassle.
Another thing I’ve been experimenting with is battery optimization. I’ve got a few battery-powered devices, and I’ve been adjusting their sensitivity settings to ensure they last as long as possible. It’s a small tweak, but it makes a big difference in the long run.
For anyone looking to get started with smart lighting, I’d highly recommend exploring the automation features and experimenting with different settings. The learning curve is worth it, and the payoff is a home that feels truly modern and connected.
