Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to optimize the refresh rate of my Visonic temperature sensor. While it’s been reliable, I noticed that the temperature readings don’t update as quickly as I’d like. For instance, when comparing it to my thermostat, there’s a noticeable lag, and occasionally the temperature jumps by a couple of degrees within a minute. This made me wonder—how can we improve the update frequency of such sensors?
From what I gather, the device checks the temperature every 720 seconds, which is 12 minutes. I’m curious if there’s a way to adjust this interval to get more frequent updates. Also, is there a method to actively query the sensor for its current reading instead of waiting for it to broadcast? This could be especially useful for precise monitoring in different rooms.
I’d love to hear if anyone has experience with sensors that offer better resolution than 1 degree. Even 0.1-degree increments would provide a clearer picture of temperature changes. Additionally, if anyone has successfully modified their sensor’s polling interval or implemented a custom solution, I’d appreciate any insights or tips!
Thanks in advance for your help. Let’s keep the discussion positive and collaborative!
