Optimizing Wyze Camera Uploads and Infrared Light Settings

Hi everyone, I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now and wanted to share some tips and ask for advice. First, I noticed that one of my WyzeCams was uploading continuously, which was eating up my data. After some research, I found that adjusting the detection zone settings helped reduce unnecessary uploads. I also switched to the Cam Plus trial, which seems to handle uploads more efficiently. If anyone has tips on further optimizing this, I’d love to hear them!

Another thing I’m curious about is the infrared lights on the Wyze Cam Pan Ver 3. I’ve seen conflicting information on how many should be active. Does anyone have a definitive answer or experience to share? I’d appreciate any insights!

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with battery life for my contact sensors. Swapping out the batteries to CR123A has made a significant difference, lasting much longer than the original CR1632. It’s a simple fix that’s really improved my setup. I’d love to hear if others have tried similar upgrades or have other battery-saving tips!

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to your thoughts!
