Optimizing Z-Wave Network Performance with Plus Devices

As a long-time Z-Wave enthusiast, I’ve been experimenting with both standard and Z-Wave Plus devices to create a seamless smart home ecosystem. While most of my nodes are Plus devices, I recently encountered an issue with two Enerwave Motion Sensors that kept getting stuck in motion detection mode. After excluding and rejoining them multiple times without success, I realized the importance of maintaining a consistent Z-Wave Plus network for optimal performance.

I reached out to Fibaro and Remotec to inquire about their upcoming Z-Wave Plus certifications, and the responses were quite promising. Remotec’s ZXT-600 AC Master, set to release this year, caught my attention due to its ability to control a wide range of HVAC systems via IR signals. This device aligns perfectly with my goal of integrating legacy systems into a modern smart home setup.

For those considering Z-Wave Plus devices, I recommend prioritizing them to ensure faster communication and better reliability across your network. If you’re facing similar challenges with legacy devices, feel free to share your experiences or tips for maintaining a robust Z-Wave network!
