Having over 100 rules in Rule Machine, I can’t help but wonder how others manage to keep everything organized. It’s a fantastic tool, but as the number of rules grows, so does the need for a clear structure. I’ve tried categorizing them manually, but it’s getting a bit overwhelming.
A feature I’d love to see is collapsible user-defined subcategories. Imagine being able to group rules into categories like Alerts, Timed Rules, or Motion Sensor Rules. It would make navigation so much smoother and reduce the clutter.
For now, I’ve been using a naming convention to keep things somewhat organized. For example, prefixing rules with their category helps when scanning through the list. But it’s not as efficient as having built-in subcategories.
