Hi everyone, I recently set up an outdoor camera base station and encountered some initial issues, which I’d like to share and discuss. After following the setup guide, I found myself stuck at the app screen stating it couldn’t find the base station, despite the light on the base being solid blue. The camera showed up in my phone’s Wi-Fi list but wouldn’t connect or pair, even when I tried manual configuration. I restarted everything, turned off my phone’s cellular data, and ensured I was strictly on Wi-Fi, but nothing worked.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that resetting the camera to factory settings and ensuring the Wi-Fi network wasn’t saturated with too many devices helped. I also made sure the camera was placed in a location with strong Wi-Fi signal. Finally, using the latest app version and scanning the QR code again did the trick!
It’s been a learning experience, and I’m now up and running with my outdoor camera. If anyone else is facing similar issues, I’d recommend checking the camera’s placement, ensuring the Wi-Fi network is stable, and trying a factory reset. Happy to help if anyone has questions!
