Outdoor Camera Hat and Home Theater Setup Tips

I recently had an interesting experience with my outdoor camera. I decided to remove the cowboy hat from my camera, thinking it was just for aesthetics. However, I quickly realized the hat was functional when ice blocked the lens! Now I understand why it was there. If anyone else has removed their camera’s hat, be cautious during cold weather!

Moving on, I’ve been working on integrating my home theater into Home Assistant. It’s been a bit of a challenge, but I’ve managed to get the power button, volume control, and source selection working. My setup includes a Denon 3800X receiver with a projector and TV. The main issue I’m facing is switching between the projector and TV. I’ve been experimenting with custom feature cards and selectors, but I’m hitting a wall. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love some advice!

Another thing I’ve been curious about is the weather forecast integration in Lovelace. I currently use Yahoo Weather, but I’d like to try the built-in weather card. I’m not entirely sure how to set it up, though. If anyone has a step-by-step guide or tips, that would be fantastic!

Lastly, I wanted to share a fun project I’m working on—a GameBoy-themed Zigbee remote! It’s been a fun way to repurpose old tech and integrate it into my smart home setup. I’ve included some soldering tips and photos if anyone is interested in trying something similar.

If you’ve got any questions or tips on these topics, feel free to share! Happy automating! :rocket:
