Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience installing an outdoor camera and some tips I picked up along the way. I recently mounted my camera using a sturdy outdoor case and followed a few key steps to ensure it’s both functional and secure. I thought leaving off the plastic shield would help reduce reflective IR light at night, and it really made a difference in the video quality! 
One thing I struggled with initially was the camera’s firmware update. After installing it, I noticed the base station light was stuck on yellow and wouldn’t switch to blue, which I later found out was a common issue. I tried resetting it a few times and eventually had to delete it from the app and reinstall it. Thankfully, that worked out!
I also wanted to mention the importance of proper wiring and power supply. I used a diode to protect the VIN pin and connected it directly to the USB 5V line, which seems to handle the power需求 well. I’ve been running it for a few weeks now, and it’s been rock solid!
