I’ve been diving into home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey! One of my recent projects has been setting up outdoor lights with dimming capabilities and scheduling. The goal was to have the lights automatically adjust based on bedtime routines, but I ran into some challenges along the way. I tried creating a dashboard card with a slider and a timer, but the automation didn’t quite work as expected. I ended up tweaking the code and setting up a group for the lights, which finally got things working smoothly. It’s so satisfying when everything clicks into place!
Another fun project I’ve been working on is with my RGBIC wall lights. I’ve been experimenting with different color combinations and effects, and it’s been a great way to add some personality to my space. I’ve even shared some of my designs with the community, and it’s been awesome to see others get inspired by them. DIY projects really bring out the creativity, don’t they?
For anyone looking to try something similar, here’s a tip: start simple and gradually build up your setup. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help if you hit a snag—it’s all part of the learning process! Happy automating! ![]()
