Outdoor Lighting Project and Presence Sensor Setup

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on with my outdoor lighting setup. I’ve always been a fan of creating a welcoming atmosphere around my home, especially during the evenings, and I thought integrating some smart home tech would take it to the next level. :star2:

I’ve been planning to install some outdoor neon rope lights around my pool area, and I was curious if it would be possible to connect them virtually within the app so they could act as one single entity. After some research and trial and error, I managed to link them up using my smart home hub, and it’s been a game-changer! Now, I can control all the lights with a single command, whether I’m inside the house or away. It’s so satisfying to see them all light up with just a tap on my phone. :hammer_and_wrench::bulb:

Another thing I’ve been experimenting with is setting up my lights to turn on when I come home and off when I leave. I’m using a Fibaro motion sensor and door sensor for this. While it’s mostly working, there are occasional hiccups, so I’d love to hear if anyone has tips on making this setup more reliable. I’ve attached a screenshot of my current configuration for reference. :camera_flash:

I’d also love to hear about your experiences with integrating smart lighting and presence sensors. Have you tackled similar projects? What challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them? Let’s share our tips and tricks to help each other out! :handshake::sparkles:

Cheers,
