Outdoor Lighting Setup with Govee Strip Lights

I’ve recently had the pleasure of installing Govee’s Outdoor Strip Lights on my front porch, and I must say, the results are absolutely stunning! :star2: I wanted to share my experience and a few tips that might help others looking to achieve a similar setup.

First off, the installation process was surprisingly straightforward. I used a step stool to reach the necessary areas and made sure to clean the trim thoroughly with a microfiber cloth followed by a Clorox wipe to remove any dust or dirt. This step really made a difference in ensuring the lights adhered properly.

For the patio lights, I decided to install them temporarily since I’m still in the process of painting the front of the house. I used the same cleaning method and opted for a clear outdoor clip to attach the lights. Once the painting is complete, I plan to install them permanently. A small 4’ ladder was all I needed, which was a relief given my family’s concerns about using a taller ladder!

One thing I’d like to emphasize is the importance of proper preparation. Taking the time to clean the surfaces ensured that the lights stayed in place without any issues. I also recommend using a ladder that feels comfortable for your height to avoid any unnecessary strain.

I’m thrilled with how these lights have transformed my outdoor space. They’re perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially during the evenings. I can’t wait to see how they’ll look once the painting is done and I’ve installed them permanently.

If anyone has any questions or tips about installing outdoor lights, feel free to reach out! I’d love to hear how others are enhancing their spaces with smart lighting solutions. :cherry_blossom::sparkles:
