Outdoor Post Lights with Z-Wave: Seeking Alternative Solutions

Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts! I’m currently working on a project to install 8 post lights in my backyard and integrate them into my Z-Wave network. Unfortunately, I’ve hit a bit of a snag and could really use some advice or suggestions from the community.

Here’s the setup: The post lights are hardwired and don’t use a plug, which means I can’t use an outdoor plug module. They’re powered through an outdoor electrical panel, so placing switches inside the house isn’t an option either. My initial thought was to use the ACT ZRF113 relay module in a weatherproof box outdoors. While this works, it means I can’t easily switch the lights from a location close to the post lights. I’ll need one relay module for each pair of lights, which adds to the complexity and cost of the project.

I’m curious if anyone else has tackled a similar project or has any alternative solutions to share. Maybe there’s a different type of switch or module that could work better in this scenario? I’m also wondering if there’s a way to streamline the process or reduce the number of modules needed. Any tips or experiences you’ve had with outdoor lighting and Z-Wave integration would be incredibly helpful!

Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions! I’m really looking forward to hearing from you all.
