I’ve been setting up various automations in my smart home, like turning on lights based on a presence sensor or opening curtains when it gets light in my office. However, I’ve run into an interesting challenge. The office is also used as a guest room occasionally, and I want to make sure that guests aren’t woken up early or have the lights turned on while they’re asleep.
Manually turning off those automations temporarily could work, but it would be a hassle if there are 10 or more automations to manage. I’ve heard about using a physical switch that each automation checks, acting as a ‘guest mode.’ Has anyone tried this or has another creative solution? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips on how to handle this scenario smoothly! ![]()
