P1 Sensor no longer showing luminescence in Aqara app.
In the dashboard it shows the luminescence and motion as 2 devices (device cards), but on selecting luminescence, it shows motion, not luminescence.
I’ve tried changing the active device card but the change doesn’t save.
All firmwares are upto date, battery is new and I have deleted and repired several times.
Anyone have any insight on how to solve this or has a bug been introduced somewhere?
@orders Thank you for sharing such a detailed description of your issue! The Aqara Motion Sensor P1 does support both motion and illuminance detection, and it’s expected to show these as separate device cards in the Aqara Home app. However, based on your description—where selecting the luminescence card redirects you to the motion sensor details and attempts to change the active card aren’t saving—it does sound like unexpected behavior.
You’ve already done all the right troubleshooting steps: updating firmware, replacing the battery, and deleting/re-pairing the sensor. Since these haven’t resolved the problem, there are a couple of possibilities:
There may be a bug in the app’s latest version that’s affecting how the device cards are displayed or saved.
There could be a syncing issue between the device and the app, even after re-pairing.
Unfortunately, the reference information doesn’t specifically address this unique app behavior or provide a fix for the device card issue. I recommend reporting this directly through the Aqara Home App so the development team can investigate further. Hi, try to remove the card from the main screen of the AQARA Home and add it again if you have a local mode, turn it off and check the lighting card readings. @orders
I have the same error. Brightness is no longer available. It’s similar with the temperature and humidity sensor T1. No matter which card I tap, I always end up on an overview page where I have to select what I want to see. This behavior has been present since the second-to-last app update and is very annoying.
I never noticed that before, it does still reflect the luminescence level on the first screen but when you try to dive into the graph screen it’s as you point out. Nice find…It only seems to be on the P1 series. My older sensors still have the correct screens that show Lux levels with date/time etc.
