I have 5 P100 Multi State Sensors. I have one mounted on my dryer to detect vibration so I can automate when the dryer completes a cycle. I have it paired via Zigbee to my M3 hub. That acts as a Matter bridge to bring the sensor into Homey Pro, my choice for automations; however, it does not communicate well with Homey Pro. Homey shows it as unavailable and I cannot repair the connection or automate with it. I was hoping it would give a more accurate vibration reading than the current Vibration Sensor. Any ideas how to get this to communicate correctly with Homey Pro? I don’t think Matter allows for the vibration function and I’m not sure I can put the P100 into Zigbee mode to connect directly to Homey Pro without connecting it to my M3 hub.
Unfortunately, I don’t know why your Homey is showing the sensor as unavailable. I can only guess that there might be an issue with the Aqara bridge exposing the device, or with Homey not correctly interpreting the bridged device.
As a workaround, I would suggest creating a Matter Signal in the Aqara Home app.

Simply press the plus icon in the top right corner, then tap Add, select the P100, and define the conditions for when the automation should be triggered in Homey. Once you have created the signal, it should appear in Homey as a sensor that you can use for your automations.
I would try to pair the M3 to Homey over Matter. Keep the P100 using zigbee connected to the M3.
However, vibration may not be sensitive enough for the laundry. I tried it and moved on.
Now if they updated it to where it could report state of vibration and position at the same time, this might change it because we could know if the dryer door is closed and vibrating.

I tested my sensor in Zigbee mode via the M3 hub and connected it to Homey, and it works well. If you encounter issues using it in hub mode, I recommend switching the protocol to Thread and connecting it to Homey via Matter; you shouldn’t have any problems then. Give that a try and see how it goes.
I’m afraid that in thread mode (via Matter), object monitoring (orientation, movement, fall, vibration, triple tap) won’t work.

I can’t say exactly what device the P100 appears as or what functions it offers via the M3 Hub (as a Matter bridge), but I think the best way to access the vibration data is to have the P100 in Zigbee mode with a Matter signal set up via Advanced Matter Bridging.
So I unpaired it from my M3 hub and repaired it and that got it to be usable in Homey. However, for vibration is calls it an “occupancy alarm.”
So my ultimate goal is to know when the dryer has finished. To do that I thought I’d use the vibration intensity of an Aqara Vibration Sensor paired directly to Homey’s Zigbee network and the Muti-State Sensor in Zigbee mode connected to my M3 hub and brought over to Homey via Matter through the M3.
My automation uses the vibration intensity from the vibration sensor and the “occupancy alarm” to tell if the dryer is running then stopped. But the Vibration Sensor still reports the intensity as if the dryer is running for hours after it has stopped. How do I get it to wake more often to report on the vibration intensity more accurately? Is that even possible?
My only other option I can think of is using a high voltage relay to monitor energy usage and consumption but I have no idea how to wire that into my dryers 240v electrical outlet…
