I have a P100 stuck on an old style Genway intercom, tried to make it so when the intercom’s bell rings the P100 would sense the vibration, but it sadly doesn’t work, I have set the P100 on the highest sensibility setting. Is there some way that I could up even more the sensibility setting on the P100 or some other trick to it?
Welcome to the forum.
I don’t think it’s possible to increase the sensitivity higher than 10.
One idea though, how is the buzzer activated? Some old intercoms probably have a simple open/close circuit to activate it, you could in theory wire up an Aqara Leak sensor to it with the open/close also joining the contacts on the water leak sensor. Completing the circuit between the two points will activate the water leak sensor.
People have modded these to do all sorts of things.
It would be much easy to use an intercom device like ring intercom or Nuki opener for that matter as the P100 it is not made for such application.i hope aqara to make such an device but one to have bidirectional audio so ppl who have intercoms to can answer with their phones as right now only ring have such feature but is not HomeKit compatible
I thought of that, but sadly those devices are not compatible with my primitive intercom ![]()
Well then change the hole system with an new one if your intercom is way to old
Sadly I’m renting this old house and I can’t make major upgrades and modifications to it ![]()
The problem is that it’s too big and I don’t hear the intercom’s ring from a couple of rooms away that’s why I need some kind of a solution
Well then not sure but from what I see the only option you have is to add an doorbell ether the G410 or the G400 this way when someone call you will also see it not just hear the ring and you will get notification too on your phone I think this option is less expensive then change the hole intercom
