I had 3 T1M lights installed to a single switch. I try to add the accessories to the M2 hub using the Aqara Home app; I get the message ‘please add the accessory to the hub’. I then put them into pairing state (turn off and back on 5 times in succession and all 3 look to be in pairing state; lights are pulsing). The process appears to start but I eventually get the message ‘accessory cannot be added to the hub’. I tried this a number of times with the same result.
Make sure that your Aqara hub M2 and Aqara Home app are the latest version, then move the T1M closer to the hub to connect it
Hello, judging by your story, you are simultaneously turning On/Off 5 times from one switch to 3 lamps. This will not work to bind them. Make a binding to each lamp in turn and then connect to one switch. Note, when you press On/Off five times (quickly), the lamp resets the binding.
Under normal circumstances, when the T1M is powered on again while it is not connected to the network, the main light will start breathing and enter the network-joining state.
– At this point, you can try another method to join the network: quickly press the button on the hub three times. The hub will then provide a voice prompt and automatically search for devices to join the network and connect them.
– This method allows only one T1M to join the network at a time.
– After you power off and then power on again, the remaining lights that have not yet joined the network will start breathing again. Repeat the above steps until all lights have successfully joined the hub.
– Before performing this operation, please ensure that the hub is connected properly and place it as close to the lights as possible.
I hope this helps.
This method really works, I connected T1 and T3 spots this way. Everything connected without any problems.
Thank you Arnold K and Naomi I applied the firmware update and followed Arnold’s instructions (fast press the M2 button 3 times; repeating for each T1M) and it worked perfectly.
