Hello everyone! I’ve recently taken the plunge into the world of smart lighting and decided to give Philips Hue bulbs a try. I’ve set up my Zigbee network using the Elelabs Raspberry Pi Shield and integrated it with Home Assistant through the ZHA integration. So far, the setup process has been smooth, and I’m really excited about the possibilities this opens up for my home automation projects. However, I’ve encountered a bit of a hiccup that I’m hoping the community can help me resolve.
I’ve successfully added two Philips Hue bulbs—a Color (LCA003) and a White Ambiance (LTA002)—to my system. The bulbs show up in my Lovelace interface, but here’s the catch: I can’t seem to control them through the interface. Worse yet, they appear twice in the Lovelace cards, which is a bit confusing. Every time I try to toggle them on or off, nothing happens. The bulbs just sit there, stubbornly ignoring my commands.
To troubleshoot, I’ve tried restarting both the Zigbee shield and Home Assistant itself. I’ve also attempted to remove and re-pair the bulbs, but the issue persists. The bulbs do turn on and off when I manually switch them, so I know they’re functional. It’s just the integration with Home Assistant that’s giving me trouble.
I’d really appreciate any insights or tips the community might have on resolving this. Have others encountered similar issues when adding Philips Hue bulbs through ZHA? What steps did you take to get everything working smoothly? I’m eager to get these bulbs fully integrated so I can start experimenting with automations and scenes. Thanks in advance for your help!
