Philips Hue Dimmer Switch: Double-Tap Radio Station Switching

Hey everyone, I’ve been tinkering with my Philips Hue dimmer switch and wanted to share a cool setup I managed to get working. I’ve been using my Hue dimmer to control my Heos speaker, which is great for turning the radio on with a single tap. But I wanted to take it a step further—double-tapping the switch to change the radio station. At first, it seemed a bit tricky, but after some experimenting, I figured it out!

I started by exploring the Hue app and the Homey integration. I knew I needed to use some kind of automation rule, but the Hue switch wasn’t showing up in the expected places. After a bit of research, I realized I could use the built-in timer feature on the dimmer switch. By setting a short delay, I could trigger a scene change when the switch was pressed again within a couple of seconds. It was a bit of a workaround, but it worked perfectly!

Now, with a single tap, the radio turns on, and with a quick double-tap, it switches to my next favorite station. It’s such a seamless experience, and it really enhances how I interact with my smart home setup. I’d love to hear if anyone else has creative ways they’re using their Hue dimmer switches—drop your ideas below! :headphones::bulb:
