Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with integrating my Philips Hue Iris lights with my Sony 60w605b TV. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I thought I’d walk through how I set it up and the results I’ve seen so far.
Initially, I was curious about automating my lighting based on my TV usage. I wanted the lights to turn on when I watch something after a certain time and then dim or turn off after the TV is switched off. I’ve heard great things about Philips Hue’s integration capabilities, so I decided to give it a try.
Here’s what I did: I set up a simple automation where if the TV turns on after, say, 7 PM, the Hue Iris lights switch on to a soft setting. If the TV is off, the lights dim after a few minutes. It’s been working perfectly! The transition is seamless, and it really enhances my movie-watching experience.
