Please help, trying to double up/down buttons on smart dimmer switch h2 us

I already bought the switch and set it up. I can see two entities in Alexa app (Switch and Dimmer). The switch can be toggled to turn the light on/off, but im not sure how to use the dimmer entity. I want to decouple the dimmer buttons so I can use it to control matter enabled blinds.

I would like to know if it is possible to decouple these two buttons while the switch is in matter or zigbee mode without an Aqara Zigbee/Matter Hub or Zigbee Co-ordinator.

I only have an Echo Show 8 (acting as Matter Controller for Alexa Home ecosystem), an Eero 6 (acting as thread border router), and the Aqara H2 Smart Dimmer Switch US.

I would like to use these 3 things together to control the main light, and the two up/down buttons to control the matter enabled blinds in the room. Basically decouple them. When I try to add the switch to Aqara App, either as Zigbee or matter, it asks me for an Aqara Hub to add the device to the app.

Please see attached screenshot of the buttons I want to control and decouple from the main light switch. Is it even possible? What do I need? I prefer to avoid buying Aqara hub.

What options do I have? I would like to minimize

Hi man, decoupled switch mode is Aqara Home-exclusive feature for now, currently you can not expect to decouple without an Aqara hub and it’s just not available outside of Aqara system.

@t7alqjdmh4po I am reading some resources online that say that if I switch the switch to Zigbee mode and then add it to Home Assistant via ZB2MQTT, I might be able to control the buttons individually and decouple them.

The only thing I need for that is the Zigbee Coordinator dongle, which is arriving tomorrow. I just don’t want ecosystem specific hubs in the home. So lets see if that works. I hope it does.

Hi, you will still have to use the Aqara gateway to access these settings. Alex doesn’t offer you this setting?

Just for information, Aqara 2.0 automation offers actions with buttons without switching them to wireless mode. Everything works, maybe you will have this function open.

I don’t see any of these settings. In Alexa when I added the device via matter to Alexa.
