Poe g5 pro - not showing up

Hi, I’ve two g5 pro Poe cameras that just will not show up in the aqara home app or the Apple home app. They were both connected to a previous internet network I had but since I got the new one both won’t show up. I’ve factory reset Both and net work reset both multiple times. Both of their lights are flashing yellow to show they are in discovery mode and still nothing. Any help is appreciated

Hi there! Have you checked your router’s web interface to see if the cameras appear in the DHCP/Client list? Even if they are flashing yellow, they need to be assigned an IP address by your router to be “visible” to the Aqara Home app. If they do have an IP address but still won’t pair, let us know – that would point more towards a software or mDNS discovery issue!

Hello, welcome to the forum. I had the same problem two years ago. Until I gave permission to the router that the camera was registered to the network, I didn’t see it. These settings were in the router.

The indicate flashing yellow light means that the camera has turned on normally and is waiting for network connection. If you are unable to discover the camera from the app, please note the following:

  1. The phone that installs the Aqara Home app must be connected to the same router as the camera.
  2. The G5 Pro PoE version does not support Bluetooth like WiFi, so it must be connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.
  3. The Aqara device discoveried mechanism uses UDP packets depends on multicast, and any settings that hinder multicast or UDP transmission will result in the inability to discover devices.
