I wanted to share my experience with the new Wyze App 3.0 update. After reading all the complaints, I was still optimistic, and sure enough, I was right! They’ve totally fixed my Pan Cam V3 and introduced an awesome new app. I’ve been recommending Wyze for years, and they never stop nailing it. Makes me proud to see such great work.
The new app is a breath of fresh air. Everything works smoothly, and all the cameras load up quickly everywhere, including playback. I really like being able to sort the favorites page now. It’s much more organized than before. The monitoring tab is also a nice addition, and I’m glad I finally checked it out. The timeline view in the events tab is still working great, which is a huge plus.
One thing I noticed is that I can’t sort the automations by long-pressing them. Luckily, they stayed sorted the way I had them, which is important for creating a 4x4 rules widget. The widget will be sorted according to how they’re sorted in the automations tab, so that’s good to keep in mind.
Another minor thing is that the automations are still called rules in the widgets. I tried swiping between the favorites, devices, and automations tabs, but that didn’t work. Maybe something to think about for future updates.
Overall, I’m really liking the new app. It’s much more flexible in how the information is presented, and everything still runs buttery smooth. I’m sure they’ll continue working on it, but so far, it’s been a great update. Thanks for the great work and dedication!
