What do people do in order to hide the cables powering their devices? I have some PF2’s which seem to get better detection rates the further up the wall they are positioned but then the cabling becomes very unsightly as they trial up the wall from the nearest power socket. Do people run power through their loft space? Embed into walls? Something else?

For this reason, I have no choice but to alternate between using Aqara products and another company’s solar powered camera.
Running a cable to connect it to power by myself is impossible for me.

Not sure! I have positioned them above picture or TVs to hide some of the wire. The FP300 looks promising if battery life is good?

Have experience with two types of options here. At least where I live Power should be run trough separate 16mm tubes, and that makes it easier to replace cables when they get worn & torn, but a quite expensive path. But if you plan to live there for long it is the “right way”.
Slightly cheaper is to just slice out part of the moulding/plaster, put in the cable, and then plaster, sparkle and paint on top of it.
