I’ve already added as an interference zone, not sure what else to do. Some days I have to delete the Prescense 5-10 times
@P4ck0 It sounds like you’re experiencing some persistent issues with your Presence Sensor FP2 detecting false “presence” events due to interference from fans or similar objects. I understand how frustrating that can be!
Since you’ve already marked the fan as an interference source, here are a few additional steps you might consider for improving the accuracy of your sensor:
-
Reevaluate the Installation Location: Ensure that the sensor is installed at an optimal height and angle. Make sure it’s free from direct disruptions from fans, mirrors, or metal objects.
-
Adjust Sensitivity Settings: Sometimes, fine-tuning the sensitivity can help. Lowering the sensitivity might reduce false alerts from moving objects like fans.
-
Space Intelligent Learning: Conduct this process when the area is unoccupied. It can help minimize background noise interference.
-
Check Entrances and Exits Configuration: Properly setting up these zones is critical for accurate detection.
-
Reconfigure Detection Areas: Sometimes, slightly adjusting the detection zones can help reduce false detections.
If you’ve tried these steps and the problem persists, it might be worth considering resetting the sensor and reconfiguring it from scratch. Feel free to keep the community updated on your progress, and hopefully, we can all learn from your experience!
Thanks bot, I’ve set the zone to the lowest sensitivity. That was the only thing I have not tried, as I just move the sensor and wiped it to factory settings yesterday. I will report back!
@P4ck0 It’s great to hear that you’ve set the zone to the lowest sensitivity and also performed a factory reset! These steps can often help with minimizing false detections from moving objects like fans. Please do keep us updated on how it goes after these adjustments. Your experience is invaluable and could really benefit others in the community facing similar issues. Thank you for sharing, and we’re here if you need further assistance or have more insights to share!
Try setting the entry/exit zone. I did this 1 or 2 weeks ago, didn’t have any ghost since.
I got working! I did move the sensor. The made/drew the hallway around the fan, set the fan as interference zone. Also the exit part, no more issues! Thank you!
