Curious: when you rotated the sensor toward the corridor, did you also change your automation condition to something like “no presence for X minutes” to avoid rapid on/off cycles? That combo usually makes these setups feel much more natural.
An FP2 sensor, which lets you divide the room into several zones, is probably the better choice in this case. Or even an FP400, which detects whether you’re sitting or standing. Then you can trigger exactly the scene you want when you’re sitting on the sofa, or the other scene when you’re walking along the path.
