Presenting devices linked to Aqara hub in Home Assistant

Hi,

I have an M3 Hub which I have recently recommissioned after purchasing the floo heating thermostat.

I thought that linked the M3 with HA would automatically present the Aqara devices to HA, but I’m the end it took some convincing to make it happen.

Is this actually possible, and if yes what are the instructions for linking the 2 systems together?

Connected my.m3 and paired it as a matter connection so all devices appear in the matter section

+1 for using matter, but unfortunately, matter doesn’t always pass the full device capability / sensor info across (yet). My other workaround has been to utilise the Alexa integration - set the scenes that I need in aqara, then use Alexa media controls in HA to do the required actions. Obviously no good if you’re aiming for fully local control, but this hack has been surprisingly robust for over a year - working every time. (Another caveat - you need an Alexa device to call “through” - I have a flex plugged in out of the way that I run all of these hacky calls through.)
