Good evening I would like some advice to do a basic automation but I’m having some problems.
I have an H2 switch and a T1 sensor in the bathroom and I would simply like that when a person enters the bathroom, the light is turned on and when it comes out after 1 minute (or even less if possible it turns off)
The problem I noticed that as I set up the automations, there is a problem. When a person enters the bathroom after 1 minute the light goes out and the person has to move to turn the light back on. I would like the sensor to check the movement again before turning off the light and in case of negativity turn off the light. I attach my automations. Maybe I’m wrong about something? I appreciate feedback
Hello, select the option to turn off the light “no movement for more than xx minutes”. This function will help you increase the search time for the sensor. Another type of sensor (not the same as yours) has sensitivity settings, and monitors presence from 1 second. Yours is monitored once a minute (for your sensor).
Yes, it’s already set up like this. The problem is that when I enter the bathroom the light turns on and after 1 minute it turns off even though I’m still in the bathroom and I have to move inside the bathroom to turn it on again.
I would like you to check the sensor after 1 minute if there is movement or not in the bathroom and decide whether to leave the light on or turn it off.
I have a T1 sensor (taken from AliExpress) maybe I should update it to P1 (updated version)?
