Hey everyone, I wanted to share a project I’m working on to protect my guitar. I recently started leaving my guitar in the car while running errands, and I’m a bit worried about the extreme temperatures that can occur inside a parked car. I’ve heard that high heat can damage the wood and strings of a guitar, so I want to find a way to monitor the temperature inside my car and get notified if it gets too hot.
I’ve been researching some temperature sensor options that can connect to my smartphone or smart home system. I came across a few devices that claim to send notifications when the temperature exceeds a certain threshold, but I’m not sure which one would work best. I was wondering if anyone here has experience with car temperature sensors or could recommend a reliable brand or model.
I also read about some users who have successfully integrated their car temperature sensors with their smart home systems, allowing them to remotely start their car’s HVAC system if the temperature gets too high. That sounds like a great feature, but I’m not sure how complicated the setup would be. I’m open to suggestions on how to connect this sensor to my existing smart home setup.
If anyone has any tips or recommendations, I’d really appreciate it. I want to make sure my guitar stays safe, and I think a good temperature monitoring system would give me peace of mind. Thanks in advance for any help!
