Protecting Outdoor Lights and Solving WiFi Socket Issues

Hey everyone, I’ve been exploring some new ways to optimize my smart home setup and thought I’d share my experiences with you all.

First off, I’ve been working on protecting the plugs and controllers for my deck lights. While we don’t get a ton of rain or snow here, I still want to make sure everything stays dry and safe. I came across some plug protectors that seem to do the trick, but I’m curious if anyone else has tried a different setup. Any tips or recommendations would be awesome!

On another note, I’ve been dealing with some quirky behavior from my WiFi outlets. The app was showing them as off even when they were on, and the firmware wouldn’t update. After some digging, I found that clearing the device history and re-syncing everything helped stabilize things. It’s still a bit puzzling why it happened in the first place, but at least it’s sorted now!

If anyone has faced similar issues or has their own solutions, I’d love to hear about them. It’s always great to learn from the community’s experiences.

Cheers, and happy tinkering! :rocket:
