Winter in Canada can be brutal, and I’ve been thinking about how to protect my Wyze V3 cameras from the harsh weather. I recently installed a couple of these outdoor models, and while they’re great for monitoring, I’m concerned about how they’ll hold up during heavy snowfall or freezing rain.
I’ve placed them under the eaves, but even then, there’s a chance they might get wet during a storm. I’ve heard that some users have had success with waterproof covers, but I’m not sure if that’s the best approach. I’ve also considered using a small heater nearby, but I’m worried about safety and potential damage to the camera.
Has anyone else dealt with this? I’d love to hear your tips and tricks for keeping these cameras functional in cold and wet conditions. Maybe there’s a clever DIY solution or a product that works well. Let’s share our experiences and help each other out! ![]()
