QR code not working

I have installed my Smart Lock U100 and installed the app. When I try to do the set up in the app, it says it can not read the QR code. I see in other posts that is recommended to check the firmware updates and network settings, but you can only do that AFTER you have successfully added the smart lock to the app. Please do not send me your generic response, I need help please.

Hi. As this is a community who pull together to help and inform each other, there aren’t “generic answers” as such, just people trying to help each other.

Often the basics can be overlooked. To start with, have you tried the following.

Disconnect the battery. Put it back in. Press the reset button 10 times in quick succession, then after this, hold the reset button for 15 seconds. This will ensure the unit is definitely back to factory settings.

Also, restart your phone/pairing device. If the app isn’t scanning the QR code then a restart can sometimes help. While on the subject, I believe that the U100 has a pairing code that you can add rather than a QR code. Is there a pairing code in the instructions?

Once you have followed all of these steps, please reply with an answer to see if the problem has been fixed. All you need any further help.

To add a lock you do not need to scan the code, do everything as in the video. The first setup of the lock occurs via BT, so for Aqara home you do not need a code. If you use an iPhone, you will be prompted to scan the Homekit code and the addition will first be in HK and then the lock will be added from Aqara home.
