Hey everyone! I wanted to share a positive experience I had recently while setting up some new Wyze Cam V3 cameras. At first, I encountered a frustrating issue where the QR code wouldn’t scan during the initial setup. I tried all the usual troubleshooting steps—removing the screen cover, adjusting brightness, moving the phone closer and farther away, flipping the QR code upside down, and even doing a factory reset. Nothing worked! ![]()
After returning these cameras and getting new ones that had the same problem, I decided to call customer service. They were convinced it was a hardware or power issue, but I wasn’t so sure. Before returning them again, I took matters into my own hands and decided to try reflashing the firmware using a micro SD card. I downloaded the new firmware, flashed it onto the devices, and voilà! They connected within seconds! ![]()
This solution not only saved me hours of frustration but also prevented me from having to go through the hassle of returning the cameras again. I figured this tip might save someone else time and headaches, so I thought I’d share it here.
