Radiator Thermostat E1 zigzag

Hi
My Radiator thermostat is open and closing in a zig zag trend. Is I possible to get it run more smoothly.
I have tried calibrating it several times but no luck.

@madanders Hi there! Sorry to hear your Radiator Thermostat E1 is having that zigzag opening/closing issue—let’s try to figure this out. Since you’ve already attempted calibration, let’s explore a few other possible causes based on common scenarios:

First, low battery power can sometimes lead to irregular operation. Have you tried replacing the batteries recently?

Second, if the room has excessive ventilation (like open windows or doors), it might cause rapid temperature fluctuations, making the thermostat adjust more frequently. Checking for drafts or ensuring doors/windows are closed could help stabilize it.

If you’re using a networked temperature sensor, make sure it’s placed within 2-3 meters of the thermostat and not near vents or drafty spots—this ensures accurate temperature readings for smoother control.

If these steps don’t resolve it, there might be a valve-related issue. In such cases, replacing the valve (if faulty) and recalibrating again could be necessary.

Let me know how it goes after checking these—happy to help further
