I’m interested in switching from the Hive TRV’s to the Aqara W600. What I’m struggling to get my head around is how they will work with my boiler? How will they control it? Hive has the box connected to the boiler, so will the Aqara TRV work with that, or is there another way? What am I missing here? I’d be interested to hear from other UK users and how they have it working. Thx.
@rich13 I’m sorry, but I couldn’t find any information regarding the Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600’s compatibility with Hive or how it works with a boiler in the reference information. It seems this specific topic isn’t covered.
However, our community is a great place to find answers! I encourage you to wait and see if other UK users chime in with their experiences. There might be someone who has already made the switch and can share how they’ve set it up.
If you have any suggestions or areas where you think the product could be improved, you can submit manual customer service feedback. This helps us work towards making the product better.
Let’s hope we can find a solution to your query soon!
Hive is another brand’s thermostat, and our two brands aren’t compatible. However, if Hive can align with Matter, this interoperability issue could be resolved. You might want to look into Matter.
I already answered you here

Here are two threads where we suggest how to build an aqara-only central heating controller (poorly, but it does still work). Gas central automation - #4 by nzjrs and Heater controller
@gafich10 and I have much to say about the limitations of Aqara for central heating control, and with a few small changes how it could be BETTER than hive. But until then I have to keep repeating myself in these threads above.
