Indeed it is a pain for people not using Zigbee2MQTT.

Just switch to the dev branch of Zigbee2MQTT and you will be able to update your W600 to the latest Zigbee version 0.0.0_2543 using OTA (see here: Release v25.105.0 · Koenkk/zigbee-herdsman-converters · GitHub)
