Renaming New Devices vs Default Name

When setting up a new Aqara device or any device I guess. Do you simply fly past the default name given and finish setting up the new device or do you take the time to rename the device according to your specific needs?

I’ve done both over the years and found if I rename during the install I have less issues later so now I always rename during install. The more devices I add the more important it has become.

Hello, yes, I agree with you. If you use standardized names for yourself in the name (bedroom, kitchen, etc.), then it is easier to find and fix problems through the event log and also simply analyze what is happening.
I have over 280 automations, so I recommend that everyone not only name them but also assign them groups (heating, water, yard, etc.), this also helps a lot in use and analysis.
