Hi everyone, I’ve recently purchased two Reolink 811A cameras, and I’m really impressed with their built-in smart detection features. They send notifications for things like motion, person, and vehicle detections, which is super helpful. I’ve been using the Reolink app to get push notifications and emails, but I’m curious about integrating them with my Synology Surveillance Station on my NAS.
I’ve heard that adding cameras via ONVIF can sometimes change the detection software they use. My main concern is whether the built-in smart detection on the Reolink cameras will still work, or if it will switch to using Synology’s detection software instead. I really don’t want to lose the accuracy and functionality that the Reolink cameras currently offer.
Has anyone else had experience integrating Reolink cameras with Synology Surveillance Station? I’d love to hear if it’s possible to keep using the cameras’ built-in detection or if there’s a way to ensure the accuracy isn’t lost. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
