I’ve been exploring different smart cameras for my home security setup, and I must say, the Reolink Argus 2 has been a game-changer for me! 
The main reason I went with Reolink is their impressive email notification speed. I’ve tried several cameras before, but none could match the quick response time of Reolink. It’s almost instantaneous, which is crucial for timely alerts!
I decided to integrate my Reolink cameras with Home Assistant using a combination of Mailgun and WebCore. Here’s how I did it:

Mailgun Setup: I created a free account on Mailgun and set up SMTP credentials. This allowed me to route notifications from my Reolink cameras directly to my email.

WebCore Integration: Using WebCore pistons, I configured the system to trigger specific actions when an alert is received. For example, when motion is detected, a simulated switch is activated, which in turn triggers my security lights and sends a notification to my phone.

Automation Magic: The integration with WebCore has been seamless. I’ve even managed to link this setup with my Ring doorbell, creating a unified security system that’s both reliable and efficient.
One thing I noticed is that Reolink’s live stream is limited to 15 minutes, even when plugged in. While this is a minor inconvenience, the speed and reliability of the notifications make it worth it for my use case.
